Christ in the Family
Welcome
to the United Lutheran Church web page. We hope that you find
United to be an active, vibrant community of faith with ministry
opportunities for all ages. Join us for worship on Sunday
mornings as we hear God’s Word for our lives and share in the gifts
of God’s grace in the Sacraments. Participate in our education
program or in a small group opportunity. Find ways to put your
faith into action as we serve the needs of those around us. We
would love to have you come for a visit.
This year our theme is Christ in the Family. We
will be emphasizing the importance of the family in faith formation.
It is through moms and dad, brothers and sisters, grandparents and
extended family members that faith is most effectively shared and
has the opportunity to grow. Our concern is that the faith in
Jesus Christ be passed on from one generation to the next.
To help with this, we will be emphasizing the four keys to
passing on the faith during the year, provided by the Youth & Family
Institute. They are 1) caring conversations, 2) devotions, 3)
service, and 4) rituals and traditions. Through the
partnership between the congregation’s ministry and the home, we
will be providing resources and tools for families to apply these
keys to their daily lives. It should be a fun and exciting
years as these small, but intentional steps will have a significant,
eternal impact on our kids and families.
