| Hi everybody! It's April 3 and I'm in my last few days at Fort Jackson. The good news: Michelle is here with me. The bad news: On April 7, I graduate, say goodbye to Michelle, and prepare to move into Kuwait. I don't have my exact timetable, but it's a good guess I'll be celebrating Easter in the desert. I won't write long today, because I want to spend every precious minute with my wife that I can, but I'll be thinking about you during Holy Week and Easter. I miss services at United, and the Prayer Path, and the Men's Dinner, and all the things that make Holy Week so special and connect us with Christ. I will be going through my own journey to the cross as I make my way into Iraq, but looking forward to Easter when the Risen Lord will triumph over all death and suffering. That truth is the reason I'm going to war with hope in my heart. My communication will be limited over the next couple weeks, but I'll write when I can. God be good to you! CH Steve Timm |
