Hi, everybody. It's January 25th, and it's been one week since I left for Mississippi. The weather has been beautiful down here -- 60's during the day, 30's and 40's at night.We've been flying through training, trying to get caught up with everybody else who's been down here for a month.Yesterday was training on how to handle detainees, ROE (Rules of Engagement), and the ethics of war. In spite of the rare bad cases that make the news, it's amazing how much training and emphasis goes into making sure our soldiers treat all people well, even terrorists. No other nation in the history of the world has taken such good care of our enemies during war. The chaplains have a big role in that, of course, and I've already been getting my two cents in for moral leadership training.

Time is going fast, but it seems like I've been gone a lot longer than I have. I miss you all and I'll write when I can.
