
Adult Ministries
Here at United we offer many opportunities for you to join something you love! From Book Clubs to Biking Clubs, we offer it all.
Fellowship Groups
Men in Mission--Meets every Tuesday, 8:00 am at church. A group of men who gather together to enrich their faith in an atmosphere of fellowship, food, and friends.
TAG--a group geared to individuals age 55+ who meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 1:00 pm for treats, coffee and a speaker.
ULC Pedal-ers--A biking groups that meets a few times a month in the spring and summer and bile the trails in Red Wing with a spot along the way for lunch.
Women's Circles--Monthly meeting of women from the congregation who gather for a devotion and fellowship at either a member's home or at the church.
LOOPS--Are small groups of your friends and neighbors meeting all around Red Wing for great conversation. Click here for more information or to sign up.
Book Chat--A book club that meets on the first Friday of the month at 10:30 am at the Downtown Plaza. Some past reads include A Man Called Ove and Sycamore Row.
Page Turners--A book group that meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 9:30 am at church. Some past reads include Inside The O'Briens and The Elegance of the Hedgehog.
Beer & Banter--Calling all men! Join us Tuesday nights from 7-8:00 pm for a drink of your choice and amazing fellowship. Contact the church office at 388-3583 for more details.
Adult Education--Learning is never over, and for that reason we at United Lutheran present a weekly Sunday Morning Adult Forum from 9:15-10:15 am each Sunday during the academic year in the Fellowship Hall. These presentations are free and open to the public, and all you need to do is bring an openness to learn and an inquiring mind. You are welcome to ask questions...or just sit quietly and listen. And, wherever you are in these conversations ... you are always welcome.
Service Groups
Friendly Visitor--Members of the congregation who reach out to hose who may feel alone and isolated. Contact Laurie Andrews for information stephenministry@gmail.com
Social Concerns--Mission Statement- "We will promote a ministry of love in action by uplifting and involving the members of United Lutheran Church in meeting the physical and social needs of people within our congregation, our community, and our world."
ULC Quilters--Quilters meet on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 9:00 am at church. Half the quilts they make are sent to Lutheran World Relief and the remainder are distributed locally through the Goodhue County and ULC Christmas Projects.
Funeral Committee--The funeral committee is a group of people who assist the family with the meal after the funeral service. You may need to call on other members of the congregation for cakes, bars, and to help work the day of the funeral.
Prayer Shawl--Prayer Shawl Meetings are normally held on the 2nd Thursday of the month. Anyone caring to knit or crochet prayer shawls is welcome to attend. If you have any questions, please call Lynne at 388-6730.
Communion Visitor--Join the team of volunteers who bring communion to the homebound. Contact the church office if you are interested, 388-3583.
